PureLoad is a Java-based performance testing and analyzing tool that automates the process of stress testing server applications.
PureLoad simulates several hundred users performing tasks. Statistics are then used to analyze the bottlenecks in the system, primarily the performance, scalability and quality characteristics.
The PureLoad Console is where the configuration is prepared; workers are assigned and task sequences are specified. The task sequences are then added to the task space server where they are initialized. The load execution is started from the PureLoad Console and the workers start to fetch task sequences from the task space server. The task that is executing communicates with an application server or similar and generates load on it. Results from the execution is presented in the PureLoad Console.
PureLoad features: supplied tasks for HTTP, IMAP, POP, SMTP, NNTP and more; the ability to build custom tasks using the Java Beans based API; generation of real time statistics; and HTML reports. |
